Description

The White Christmas Mojito is a refreshing and tropical twist on the classic mojito cocktail. Combining the vibrant flavors of fresh mint, lime, and white rum with creamy coconut milk and fizzy club soda, this festive drink offers a creamy yet crisp taste perfect for holiday celebrations or any warm-weather occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 lime, cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

Additional Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • Ice cubes

Garnish

  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Muddle Mint and Lime: In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and lime wedges.
  2. Add Sugar and Muddle: Sprinkle the sugar over the mint and lime, and using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently muddle the mixture to release the mint oils and lime juice without tearing the mint leaves too much.
  3. Add Liquids: Add the white rum and coconut milk to the glass or shaker.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the glass or shaker with ice cubes to the brim.
  5. Mix Ingredients: If using a shaker, shake the mixture well for about 15 seconds to combine all the flavors. If using a glass, stir well with a long spoon, ensuring the sugar dissolves completely.
  6. Pour into Serving Glass: Pour the mixture into a serving glass filled with ice, if you used a shaker.
  7. Add Club Soda: Top off the drink with club soda to add fizz. Adjust the amount based on your desired strength and taste.
  8. Garnish: Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and lime wedges to enhance the presentation.
  9. Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy your White Christmas Mojito!

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to your preference for sweetness.
  • Use full-fat coconut milk for a creamier texture or light coconut milk for a lighter drink.
  • If you don’t have a mallet, use the back of a spoon to muddle the mint and lime gently.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit white rum and add extra club soda or coconut water.
  • Always use fresh mint leaves for the best aromatic flavor.
