Description

These White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers are a delicious twist on the classic burger, combining juicy ground chicken with flavorful spinach, tangy white cheddar, and aromatic spices. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Patties:

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Cooking:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For Serving:

  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, red onion, garlic, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, being careful not to overmix.

  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the chicken patties and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Toast the burger buns if desired.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding your favorite toppings.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute baby kale or arugula for spinach if desired.
  • These burgers also grill well—just make sure to oil the grates and cook over medium heat.
