Scale
Ingredients
- 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Blend Watermelon: Add the watermelon cubes to a blender and blend until smooth to create a fresh watermelon puree.
- Strain Puree: Pour the blended watermelon through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove the pulp, yielding a smooth juice.
- Add Lemon Juice, Mint, and Honey: Stir in the fresh lemon juice, mint leaves, and honey into the watermelon juice.
- Muddle Mint: Use a wooden spoon to gently muddle the mint leaves in the mixture, releasing their refreshing flavor.
- Mix with Water: Stir in the cold water and mix well to combine all the flavors evenly.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or agave syrup if desired.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the lemonade until chilled. Serve it over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs if you like.
Notes
- For an extra refreshing twist, replace some of the cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
- Freeze extra watermelon cubes to use as natural ice cubes that won’t dilute the flavor.
