Description

This Watermelon Mint Lemonade is a refreshing, hydrating summer beverage made with fresh watermelon, zesty lemon juice, and fragrant mint leaves. Naturally sweetened with honey or agave syrup, it offers a perfect balance of fruity and tangy flavors, served chilled over ice for a revitalizing drink on hot days.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend Watermelon: Add the watermelon cubes to a blender and blend until smooth to create a fresh watermelon puree.
  2. Strain Puree: Pour the blended watermelon through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove the pulp, yielding a smooth juice.
  3. Add Lemon Juice, Mint, and Honey: Stir in the fresh lemon juice, mint leaves, and honey into the watermelon juice.
  4. Muddle Mint: Use a wooden spoon to gently muddle the mint leaves in the mixture, releasing their refreshing flavor.
  5. Mix with Water: Stir in the cold water and mix well to combine all the flavors evenly.
  6. Adjust Sweetness: Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or agave syrup if desired.
  7. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the lemonade until chilled. Serve it over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs if you like.

Notes

  • For an extra refreshing twist, replace some of the cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
  • Freeze extra watermelon cubes to use as natural ice cubes that won’t dilute the flavor.
