Additional:

  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • For the Glaze:

    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Wet Ingredients: Beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour into the dry ingredients, stir until just combined.
  3. Add Apples: Gently fold in the diced apples.
  4. Fry: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of batter into oil. Fry 3-4 fritters at a time, 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm fritters.
