Description

A refreshing Pineapple Lemon Drop cocktail combining the tropical sweetness of pineapple juice with the tartness of fresh lemon juice, balanced by smooth vodka and a touch of simple syrup. Perfectly chilled and garnished for an elegant presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

Cocktail Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka (citrus vodka or plain)
  • 1 oz pineapple juice (fresh or canned)
  • 3/4 oz lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice (as needed)

Garnish & Rim

  • Sugar (for rimming the glass)
  • Lemon twist or pineapple wedge (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Rim a chilled martini glass with lemon juice and then dip it into sugar to coat the rim evenly. Set the glass aside to let the sugar set.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, pour in the vodka, pineapple juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  3. Add Ice and Shake: Add a generous handful of ice into the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
  4. Strain and Serve: Strain the chilled cocktail into the prepared martini glass, ensuring no ice is transferred.
  5. Garnish: Finish by garnishing with a lemon twist or a pineapple wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately for best flavor and presentation.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best tart flavor and brightness.
  • Adjust simple syrup according to your preferred level of sweetness.
  • Citrus vodka enhances the drink but plain vodka works well too.
  • Chill the martini glass in the freezer beforehand to keep your cocktail cold longer.
  • For a sweeter rim, use superfine sugar which sticks better.
