Description

This One-Pan Steak Bites & Cheesy Garlic Butter Noodles recipe combines tender, seared steak cubes with creamy, cheesy noodles all cooked in a single skillet. Packed with rich garlic butter flavor and melty mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, this hearty meal comes together quickly, making it perfect for an easy weeknight dinner that’s both satisfying and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cubed
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter

Cheesy Garlic Butter Noodles

  • 8 oz rotini pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep and Sear the Steak: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt. Place the cubed steak in a single layer in the skillet and season generously with salt and black pepper. Sear the steak pieces for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until nicely browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Lower the heat to medium in the same skillet. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter along with the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds or until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  3. Cook Pasta: Pour 1 ½ cups of water into the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Add the rotini pasta and cook uncovered for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the pasta is tender and the water has mostly been absorbed.
  4. Make Cheesy Sauce: Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream, shredded mozzarella, and grated parmesan cheese. Mix continuously until all the cheese melts fully and the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
  5. Combine and Serve: Return the seared steak bites to the skillet with the cheesy noodles. Toss everything together thoroughly to coat the steak pieces in the creamy sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • For best results, use a skillet large enough to accommodate both the steak and pasta comfortably.
  • Ensure to stir the pasta occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • You can substitute rotini with other short pasta shapes like penne or fusilli if preferred.
  • Adjust seasoning at the end after combining steak and noodles for balanced flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
