Dough:
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Toppings:
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni or regular pepperoni cut into small pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Additional:
- All-purpose flour for rolling
- Olive oil for brushing
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out dough: Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many hearts as possible, re-rolling scraps as needed.
- Prepare the pizzas: Place the heart-shaped dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over each heart. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly on top. Add pepperoni pieces and season with oregano and garlic powder.
- Bake: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.
