Description

Million Dollar Ravioli Lasagna is a rich and comforting baked casserole combining layers of cheesy cream cheese mixture, tender frozen beef ravioli, mozzarella, Parmesan, and savory marinara sauce. This easy, crowd-pleasing dish comes together quickly and bakes to golden perfection, making a satisfying meal for 8 servings.

Ingredients

Scale

Ravioli

  • 1 (25-ounce) package frozen beef ravioli

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Other Cheeses

  • 2½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (divided from total 1 cup)

Sauce

  • 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna layers.
  2. Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ½ cup of the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and salt. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the Lasagna – First Layer: Spread ¼ cup of the marinara sauce evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Then lay half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer on top of the sauce.
  4. Spread Cream Cheese Mixture: Dollop and spread half of the prepared cream cheese mixture evenly over the layer of ravioli.
  5. Add Mozzarella and Sauce: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the cream cheese layer, then spread half of the remaining marinara sauce over the cheese layer.
  6. Repeat the Layers: Repeat the layering process: place the remaining ravioli in a single layer, spread the remaining cream cheese mixture, sprinkle with 1 cup more mozzarella cheese, and top with the remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Top with Cheese: Finally, sprinkle the top layer with the remaining mozzarella cheese and the remaining ½ cup Parmesan cheese for a cheesy crust.
  8. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes to allow the ravioli to cook through and the flavors to meld.
  9. Bake Uncovered: After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Serve: Remove from oven and let the lasagna cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For best results, do not thaw the frozen ravioli before assembling the dish.
  • You can substitute beef ravioli with cheese or vegetable ravioli if desired.
  • If you prefer a spicier sauce, add red pepper flakes to the marinara before layering.
  • Leftovers keep well covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can be reheated in the oven.
  • Ensure the baking dish is covered tightly with foil to prevent the lasagna from drying out during the initial baking.
