Ingredients
Scale
Ravioli
- 1 (25-ounce) package frozen beef ravioli
Cream Cheese Mixture
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Other Cheeses
- 2½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese (divided from total 1 cup)
Sauce
- 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna layers.
- Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ½ cup of the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and salt. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Layer the Lasagna – First Layer: Spread ¼ cup of the marinara sauce evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Then lay half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer on top of the sauce.
- Spread Cream Cheese Mixture: Dollop and spread half of the prepared cream cheese mixture evenly over the layer of ravioli.
- Add Mozzarella and Sauce: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the cream cheese layer, then spread half of the remaining marinara sauce over the cheese layer.
- Repeat the Layers: Repeat the layering process: place the remaining ravioli in a single layer, spread the remaining cream cheese mixture, sprinkle with 1 cup more mozzarella cheese, and top with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Top with Cheese: Finally, sprinkle the top layer with the remaining mozzarella cheese and the remaining ½ cup Parmesan cheese for a cheesy crust.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes to allow the ravioli to cook through and the flavors to meld.
- Bake Uncovered: After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from oven and let the lasagna cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For best results, do not thaw the frozen ravioli before assembling the dish.
- You can substitute beef ravioli with cheese or vegetable ravioli if desired.
- If you prefer a spicier sauce, add red pepper flakes to the marinara before layering.
- Leftovers keep well covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can be reheated in the oven.
- Ensure the baking dish is covered tightly with foil to prevent the lasagna from drying out during the initial baking.
