Description

Potato Mixture:

  • 4 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Boil the Potatoes: Cook potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Mix in sour cream, cream cheese, butter, milk, seasonings, half of cheese, bacon, and green onions.
  3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spread mixture in a greased dish. Top with remaining cheese and bacon.
  4. Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) until heated through and cheese melts.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with remaining green onions before serving.
