Description

Sweet and savory honey glazed baby carrots cooked to tender perfection and coated in a buttery honey glaze with hints of brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder. This easy side dish is ready in under 20 minutes and makes a flavorful complement to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Carrots

  • 1 pound baby carrots

Glaze

  • â…“ cup honey
  • 3 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 Tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Garnish (Optional)

  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Boil the Carrots: Fill a large pot with 2-3 cups of water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the baby carrots and cook until fork tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Make the Honey Glaze: Drain the water from the pot, then add the honey, salted butter, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and garlic powder to the carrots. Stir and cook together for 2-3 minutes until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved, coating the carrots evenly.
  3. Serve: Transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish and optionally sprinkle finely chopped fresh parsley on top as a garnish before serving.

Notes

  • Baby carrots can be substituted with sliced regular carrots if desired.
  • Adjust honey and brown sugar amounts for sweetness preference.
  • Use unsalted butter and add more salt if preferred.
  • Adding fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary can add an aromatic twist.
  • Serve warm to enjoy the best flavor and texture.
