Ingredients
Scale
Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets
Marinade
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Seasoning
- Salt to taste (preferably flaky sea salt for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 410°F (210°C) to prepare it for baking the salmon fillets.
- Prepare Foil and Salmon: Place a large piece of aluminum foil in a shallow baking dish. Arrange the salmon fillets on top of the foil. If desired, lightly season the salmon with salt at this stage.
- Make the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, oil, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Pour Marinade over Salmon: Pour the prepared marinade evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Wrap the Foil Packet: Fold the foil over the salmon to create a loose packet, sealing the salmon and marinade inside to retain moisture during baking.
- Bake the Salmon: Place the foil packet into the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is fully cooked through. Depending on your oven and foil, baking may take up to 25 minutes; use a food thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C).
- Serve: Carefully open the foil packet, transfer the salmon to plates, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving. Enjoy immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use flaky sea salt as a finishing touch for a crunchy texture and enhanced flavor.
- Adjust garlic quantity for stronger flavor as desired.
- Check the salmon’s internal temperature with a food thermometer to avoid overcooking.
- This recipe works well with wild-caught or farmed salmon fillets.
- Foil packets help keep the salmon moist and make cleanup easy.
