Ingredients
Scale
For the Burger Patties
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Wrap Assembly
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
For Grilling Wraps
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to incorporate the seasonings evenly. Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized burger patties.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the hot surface and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and juices run clear.
- Melting the Cheese: Once the burgers are cooked, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Allow it to melt while the patties remain on the heat.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Place a cheeseburger patty in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced pickles, ketchup, and mustard according to taste.
- Wrap the Tortillas: Fold the sides of each tortilla inward and then roll tightly from the bottom up to securely enclose the filling and form a wrap.
- Grill the Wraps: In a skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Place each wrap seam-side down in the skillet. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, pressing slightly, until the wraps are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and cut each in half. Serve warm as a satisfying handheld meal.
Notes
- Use fresh vegetables to add crispness and freshness to the wraps.
- For extra flavor, add sliced onions or sautéed mushrooms inside the wraps.
- These wraps can be made ahead and reheated in a skillet or oven for convenience.
- To make it lower fat, choose lean ground beef or ground turkey.
- If you prefer a spicier wrap, add some hot sauce or sliced jalapeños.
