Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 24 Pretzel Rods
- 15 oz white chocolate chips (1 bag)
- 12 oz candy melts (use one quarter of the bag)
- 1/2 cup pastel M&M candies, crushed
Instructions
- Prepare the dipping mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted.
- Melt the candy melts: In a separate small microwave-safe bowl, melt about a quarter of the 12 oz candy melts package in 15-second intervals, stirring well until smooth.
- Dip the pretzel rods: Hold each pretzel rod at one end and dip it into the melted white chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the rod. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Add candy melts accent: Optionally, you can dip the end of the pretzel rod into the melted candy melts or drizzle the candy melts over the white chocolate coating for added color contrast.
- Sprinkle with crushed M&Ms: Immediately after dipping, sprinkle or roll the coated part of the pretzels in the crushed pastel M&M candies so they stick to the chocolate before it sets.
- Set and chill: Place the decorated pretzel rods on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to allow the chocolate and candy melts to harden completely.
- Serve: Once set, the Easter Pretzel Rods are ready to serve or package as festive gifts.
Notes
- Ensure the chocolate is not overheated in the microwave to prevent burning; stir well between intervals.
- Use crushed M&Ms to help toppings adhere better and provide an even coating.
- These treats can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerated for longer freshness.
- For a fun twist, try using colored candy melts to match other holiday themes.
