Description

These Easter Pretzel Rods are a delightful and festive treat perfect for spring celebrations. Crunchy pretzel rods are dipped in creamy white chocolate and candy melts, then sprinkled with colorful pastel M&M candies for a fun and sweet snack that’s as visually appealing as it is delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 24 Pretzel Rods
  • 15 oz white chocolate chips (1 bag)
  • 12 oz candy melts (use one quarter of the bag)
  • 1/2 cup pastel M&M candies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dipping mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted.
  2. Melt the candy melts: In a separate small microwave-safe bowl, melt about a quarter of the 12 oz candy melts package in 15-second intervals, stirring well until smooth.
  3. Dip the pretzel rods: Hold each pretzel rod at one end and dip it into the melted white chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the rod. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. Add candy melts accent: Optionally, you can dip the end of the pretzel rod into the melted candy melts or drizzle the candy melts over the white chocolate coating for added color contrast.
  5. Sprinkle with crushed M&Ms: Immediately after dipping, sprinkle or roll the coated part of the pretzels in the crushed pastel M&M candies so they stick to the chocolate before it sets.
  6. Set and chill: Place the decorated pretzel rods on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to allow the chocolate and candy melts to harden completely.
  7. Serve: Once set, the Easter Pretzel Rods are ready to serve or package as festive gifts.

Notes

  • Ensure the chocolate is not overheated in the microwave to prevent burning; stir well between intervals.
  • Use crushed M&Ms to help toppings adhere better and provide an even coating.
  • These treats can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerated for longer freshness.
  • For a fun twist, try using colored candy melts to match other holiday themes.
