Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch deep-dish pie pan or cast-iron skillet and dust with cornmeal.
  2. Cook the sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
