  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup boiling water

For the orange cheesecake layer:

  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • zest of 1 large orange
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

For the chocolate ganache:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Optional garnish:

  • orange zest
  • chocolate curls
  • candied orange slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and line pans.
  2. Make the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese, sugar, flour, egg, vanilla, sour cream, orange zest, and juice. Bake in springform pan.
  3. Prepare the chocolate cake: Whisk dry ingredients. Beat sugar, eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then stir in boiling water. Bake in cake pans.
  4. Make the ganache: Heat cream, pour over chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth.
  5. Assemble: Layer cakes and cheesecake, then pour ganache over the top. Chill to set. Garnish before serving.

Notes
