Description

Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are a quick and delicious meal featuring tender, seasoned chicken combined with creamy garlic sauce and melted cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, all wrapped in warm flour tortillas. Perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner, these wraps deliver savory flavors with a cheesy, garlicky twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 large chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Cheese and Wraps

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Sauce and Garnish

  • 1/2 cup creamy garlic sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the diced chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked through and browned on all sides. Once done, remove the skillet from heat and set the chicken aside.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread about a spoonful of creamy garlic sauce evenly over each tortilla. Top the sauce with the cooked chicken, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the chicken layers.
  4. Melt the Cheese: Fold each tortilla over the filling to form a wrap. Place the wraps back into the non-stick skillet and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side. This will melt the cheeses inside and toast the tortillas to a golden brown, creating a crispy exterior.
  5. Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and slice each in half. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately while warm and gooey.

Notes

  • You can substitute the chicken breasts with chicken thighs for a juicier wrap.
  • For a healthier alternative, consider using whole wheat tortillas.
  • The creamy garlic sauce can be homemade by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a little salt or store-bought for convenience.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste before cooking the chicken.
  • Serve with a side of fresh salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
