Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasoning
- 2 large chicken breasts, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Cheese and Wraps
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
Sauce and Garnish
- 1/2 cup creamy garlic sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the diced chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked through and browned on all sides. Once done, remove the skillet from heat and set the chicken aside.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread about a spoonful of creamy garlic sauce evenly over each tortilla. Top the sauce with the cooked chicken, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the chicken layers.
- Melt the Cheese: Fold each tortilla over the filling to form a wrap. Place the wraps back into the non-stick skillet and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side. This will melt the cheeses inside and toast the tortillas to a golden brown, creating a crispy exterior.
- Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and slice each in half. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Notes
- You can substitute the chicken breasts with chicken thighs for a juicier wrap.
- For a healthier alternative, consider using whole wheat tortillas.
- The creamy garlic sauce can be homemade by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a little salt or store-bought for convenience.
- Adjust seasoning to taste before cooking the chicken.
- Serve with a side of fresh salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
