Description

These Blueberry Yogurt Swirl Dog Paw Treats are a delightful homemade frozen snack for your furry friend, perfect for hot summer days. Made with wholesome ingredients, these treats are easy to prepare and a healthy alternative to store-bought dog treats.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Blueberry Swirl:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened and xylitol-free)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Cook the Blueberries: Add the blueberries and water to a small saucepan over low heat. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the berries break down into a syrup-like consistency. Mash them further if desired. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Yogurt Mixture: In a blender or food processor, blend the Greek yogurt and honey until smooth.
  3. Fill the Molds: Spoon small amounts of the blueberry mixture into silicone paw-shaped molds. Top with the yogurt mixture. Swirl the layers together for a marbled effect using a toothpick.
  4. Freeze: Tap the mold to remove air bubbles. Freeze for at least 3 hours until solid.
  5. Serve: Pop out the treats from the molds and store in the freezer in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use silicone molds for easy removal.
  • Ensure dog-safe yogurt with no added sweeteners like xylitol.
  • These frozen treats are best served as an occasional summer snack for your pup.
