Ingredients
Scale
For the Drink
- 12 ounces frozen limeade concentrate (1 can)
- 16 ounces light beer (2 cans; regular beer works well too)
- ¾ cup tequila
For Garnish
- Coarse salt (optional, for glass rims)
- Lime wedges (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Limeade: Prepare the frozen limeade concentrate according to the package directions, usually by adding 4½ cans of water to the concentrate.
- Mix Ingredients: Stir the prepared limeade together with the light beer and tequila. Adjust the amount of tequila based on your taste preference for strength.
- Rim Glasses: Dip the rim of each margarita glass in water or use a lime wedge to coat with lime juice, then dip the rims in coarse salt to create the traditional salted edge.
- Serve: Pour the drink mixture over ice in the prepared glasses and garnish each with a lime wedge. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and chill.
Notes
- Use light beer for a more refreshing and less heavy cocktail, but regular beer works well if preferred.
- Adjust tequila quantity to suit your desired alcohol strength.
- Rimming glasses with salt is optional but adds an authentic margarita touch.
- Serve immediately over ice to keep the drink cold and flavorful.
- This recipe yields approximately 4 standard-size drinks.
