Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, honey, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate Chicken: Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over them. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  3. Cook Chicken: Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F and chicken is golden brown.
  4. Rest and Serve: Remove chicken from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Drizzle any pan juices over the chicken and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
